Indonesia pledges $1m to flood appeal, ABC reports
The Indonesian government is donating $1 million to Queensland Premier Anna Bligh’s disaster relief appeal.
Indonesia’s foreign minister, Marty Natalegawa, says his government has been impressed by the resilience of the people of Queensland.

“We would like to assure the people of Queensland, the people of Australia, that we know what these situations are like and and if there is any other way that we can be of help, please let us know.”
Mr Natalegawa says he hopes the “modest sum” will help affected residents recover.
